When we bid for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games we did it in part so that its legacy would inspire young people to play more sport. I have heard from a number of clubs who initially saw a significant surge in interest (some immediately after the closing ceremony). However, in reality have we managed to capitalise on those early enquiries and convert to club members, or was the interest fleeting? Are we still experiencing higher levels of enquiries than say 2 years ago or is interest back to the same level. It would be fantastic to say that we have inspired a nation and maybe the stats will prove this point.
